Our Mission

Did you know that less than 15% of the ethnic Chinese youth in Southeast Asia have some degree of Hokkien fluency?

With rapid urbanization and the rise of Mandarin-medium education, Hokkien is quickly becoming an endangered dialect. 

We know how difficult trying to learn Hokkien - and its various wildly different sub-dialects - can be! There is not a lot of accessible information online.

This is why we are dedicated to making learning Hokkien accessible to all: easy to understand and easy to find.  Our motto always: language moves with people.

Above all, the mission of My Hokkien is to increase fluency in the Southeast Asian youths of Hokkien descent. We thank you for embarking on this journey with us!
